How the Weather affects your Choices- 6 Ways To Stay Focused For Your Soulmate

The rustle of the leaves on the trees as the wind blew outside my window reminded me that hot summer days are coming to an end. I jumped up early this morning to open doors and windows throughout the house so I could enjoy the cool breeze. I have always enjoyed early morning brisk air blowing throughout the home. I've also always enjoyed sitting quietly in the airway as the wind brushed against my skin. For me, there has always been a peaceful knowing that "change" is in the air. However, as seasons change it is still necessary to maintain focus on desired goals.

Let me use nature to explain my point.

If you'll notice trees bend, bow, ebb and flow their leaves blow in the wind but they remain rooted in the ground. Unless of course there is some horrific storm or hurricane, rooted trees remain in the ground... their strong trunks and widely spread root systems make them pretty hard to be uprooted. The same holds true when it comes to love. It's necessary that you take on a "grounded", unmovable attitude if you want to obtain desired results.

Don't allow a change of season to persuade or dictate to your thoughts of making your connection with your Mr. Right. All too many times single women will settle in with a relationship that doesn't quit meet their needs. Typically, the cooler months represent a warm and cozy feel fireplace type settings, hand-held walks, and time spent with the one you love. But, before you sink into that winter wonderland experience remember... it will all be a huge mistake if it's not shared with your Mr. Right, you will be setting yourself up for failure versus what you want.

Studies have shown that our emotions are affected by a change in the weather. I'm sure you can agree with this research if you think about how the first day of summer makes you feel after a long stormy season.

Therefore, if the weather has such an influence on our emotions it would be a good idea to prepare for a successful winter. Here is some advice to help you through the cold and cuddly winter months ahead. They will also give you a jump start on staying focused on positioning yourself to attract the love you want and not settle for the other guy:

1. Make sure you are connected to a good support system... VERY IMPORTANT
2. Keep your "eye on the prize" by reminding yourself of what you want versus what
you don't want from your relationship.
3. Stay active, plan events to attend
4. Use this time to get some things done inside you didn't have time to do in the
summer months (because of all the outside fun you were having)
5. Continue to feed your mental, spiritual, and physical well being
6. If you like movies, be careful not to allow too many "guy finds girl" tear-
jerkers as they tend to leave you hanging with "what about me" thoughts

Making a few small adjustments, planning and preparing yourself for the shift in seasons can be the difference between setting yourself up for success or failure as you move forward in the attraction process.

Love-Changing Success Stories & Ah- Ha Moments
Anonymous said, regarding a popular blog post (Here's An Observation) I appreciate your insight Amanda. So powerful. Too many of us go through life this way - used to the way things are and have always been. Awareness can be the first step to making a positive change. The phrase "even though my fingers were curled in an uncomfortable position and the weight of the bag added to unnecessary stress" really spoke to me and reminded me of how we will endure (even to the point of pain or discomfort) for the sake of a relationship. It can be different. It can be better...if we just put down the bag!
